Tree Trimming in Spring Valley

Spring Valley is a small city in Fillmore County near the Iowa border, and it's the commercial center for a large rural area in the southeastern corner of Minnesota. Its housing stock is primarily mid-century, with some older Victorian-era homes on the original residential streets. The city sits on the edge of the karst limestone plateau that defines this part of the state, and the surrounding terrain is wooded with hardwoods. It's far enough from Rochester that most homeowners rely on local service providers rather than commuting tradespeople.

Rochester gets real winters. Ice storms hit the Southeast Heights and Folwell neighborhoods hard, and silver maple branches — which snap faster than most people expect — end up on roofs, fences, and power lines. A lot of the trees in this area were planted in the 1960s and 1970s when those neighborhoods were built, which means they're big now and overdue for attention.
